Jaguar Land Rover Partners With Andersen EV For Luxury Home Charging
Jaguar Land Rover has announced a new partnership with Andersen EV, a London-based high-end vehicle charge points supplier offering customisable, high-end luxury home charge points for electric vehicles.
The partnership of Jaguar Land Rover and Andersen EV is part of the carmaker’s Reimagine strategy, which was revealed last year.
Available with outputs of either 7 or 22kW, Andersen EV’s A2 home charge is compatible with all Jaguar and Land Rover EV models and features a hidden compartment that stores the plug and charging cable when not in use. Customers can choose among 96 colours and finish combinations, including “precision-engineered metal or sustainably sourced Accoya wood.”
In a press release issued by the company on July 04, Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover UK MD said, “ Our new strategy set out how Jaguar Land Rover would reimagine the future of modern luxury by design, and our new partnership with Andersen EV reflects that. We are on a mission to create the world’s most desirable luxury vehicles and services for the most discerning of customers, and so it is absolutely fitting that we are able to offer intelligent, stylish equipment that sets a new standard for home charging devices and installations that perfectly complements the dramatic beauty of our vehicles.”
The chargers will be showcased at JLR showrooms in the UK where customers can try them out and order at the same time they reserve their vehicle. Andersen EV will then provide a dedicated, tailored service with an on-site survey and wall box installation by a qualified and professional Andersen EV electrician.
Andersen’s Konnect+ app will allow customers to keep track of their energy use and costs through their smartphones. The app also has a smart remote software locking feature to ensure the security of the charging point
In the official media announcement, Rob Mouser, Andersen EV Executive Chairman said that “We are delighted to partner with two world-renowned brands Jaguar and Land Rover and be part of their respective electrified futures – collectively we share a passion for pioneering, intelligent technology and service excellence. I’m sure Jaguar and Land Rover drivers love their homes as much as their vehicles, and now they have the chance to have installed a great-looking charger that fits with the design of their home, built with genuine craftsmanship, that is unlike anything else on the market.”
In February 2021, JLR unveiled the Reimagine strategy, which focuses on modern luxury, unique customer experiences and positive social impact.
Following this, Jaguar aims to be an all-electric luxury brand by the end of 2025 and Land Rover targets to have a fully electric range by the end of the decade. Jaguar’s transition to full electrification is already underway with the launch of the fully electric I-Pace SUV, accompanied by the E-Pace and F-Pace plug-in hybrids.
