Audi India Instals 100+ EV Chargers Across Major Cities In The Country.
German automaker Audi in its continuous march towards electrification in India has reached another milestone uplifting the charging infrastructure of the country by installing more than 100 charging stations in 60 major cities. These chargers are set up along various company dealerships, workshop units, and SAVWIPL Group (Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited) touchpoints across the country.
The company’s dealerships in cities like Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi South, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru Central, Karnal, Ludhiana, Mumbai South, Surat, Pune, Delhi West, Guwahati, Jaipur and Kolkata are equipped with DC fast chargers with an output of 50kW and the recently installed chargers across highways and other strategic points give an output of 22kW capable of decent charging speed.
Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, on achieving this feat said, “We have a clear road map towards sustainable mobility and are committed to developing an EV ecosystem. We have successfully installed 100+ chargers across India and we will continue to increase this in the days, months and years forward to ensure ease of ownership for Audi e-tron and other EV owners. The future is electric and Audi India is ready for it.”
Audi is continuously aiming to ease the EV transition for its customers and is doing so by offering its customers a wide electric portfolio, tailored for every type of EV customer. In India, the company currently offers five electric models viz-a-viz Audi e-tron 50, Audi e-tron 55, Audi e-tron Sportback 5, Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT within different classes of vehicle categories. With the new chargers, the company is contributing further in the direction for a smoother e-mobility transition.
